Volunteer opportunity description
5 hour volunteer commitment!
JA Finance Park®, is a classroom curriculum that culminates into a hands-on simulation that lets students experience what adulthood or life after high school might be like. The simulation randomly issues each student a life scenario. Then, students set their savings, budget for month and then try to stay within that budget paying all the necessary bills.
During the simulation, each table of six students requires a volunteer to offer expertise and guidance about everyday life as an adult. Super easy! JA provides a one-hour training on the day you volunteer which also includes a short run-through of the simulation.
Requirements
Minimum age is 20 years old. We'd like our volunteers to have experienced a little bit of 'bill paying' on their own so they can provide guidance to the students.
Must pass a background check.
Volunteer commitment is 5 hours.
